404: Forget Me Not is a curated web based archive of stories from New York City’s long serving small businesses that have either disappeared or are struggling to keep afloat due to rise in rent and gentrification.

LANDING PAGE



︎︎︎The landing page of 404 showcases a gallery of the 5 selected locations of the project where users can interact and enter into each of the microsites.






LOADING PAGE



︎︎︎The first screen that users interact with is a loading screen that gives a short summary of the context of the project, what inspired it, and how this project was born. 
STORE MICROSITES



︎︎︎Once the user enters into one of the microsites, they are able to scroll through a magazine like layout of images and text from the store’s history as well as stories and quotes by the owners and patrons. 




LEARN MORE



︎︎︎The ‘Learn More’ pages allow users to learn more about the small businesses of NYC and how they operate, as well as ways they can support and access more resources on the topic. 





STORIES



︎︎︎User can add experiences and stories they have about each of the five stores on the individual ‘Stories’ page which serves as an open community archive of sentiments from previous patrons and community members. 
SITE MENU



︎︎︎The site menu element expands and features an index of all of the selected locations as well as a short context summary about the project. 





DYNAMIC STORE SIGNS



︎︎︎For each store’s microsite, the store’s original sign is included as a dynamic floating element that is altered during the browsing experience. Each store’s sign shows a different interaction that is catered to the typographic qualities of the original signage.
