Week 5 Assignment: Prototype of Mix & Match Character Maker Tool
For my Mix & Match Character Maker Tool assignment, I decided to created a birthday card generator that users can use to customize birthday messages that could be sent via text message, posted on social media, etc. I initially set out to create a character customization tool for users to re-create features of themselves or friends but I decided that would be a bit too complicated so I came up with characters of my own.
So far, I have a working canvas and buttons that draw images on the canvas. Some things to improve on are that currently it is difficult to de-select any options to clear the images, the placing and sizing of the image elements are a bit inconsistent across the board, and I am looking to find a better way to layer images in the order that I ideally would like them to appear.
Things to add-
- More assets ( categories, items)
- Randomize and download function
- Better way of organizing categories ( Don’t want too long of a scroll- maybe dropdown menu or buttons for categories to show up)
- Background options
- Message input function (Maybe using a text input for personalization)
- Styling webpage itself, favicon, url, etc
