Week 9 Assignment
This week I mostly worked on advancing the visual language and design rationale of my overall project- meeting with my partner really helped in clarifying and solving roadblocks that had been in the back of my mind. I worked on developing a interactive landing page for my project, compiling more assets such as images for each location, creating pages for each location, etc.
CURRENT VERSION OF PROJECT
For the visual language of the project, I decided to focus on navigation in both physical and digital worlds- nodding to the idea of the fact that although these businesses do not exist in the physical world, traces of their existence and the stories that lie within them can be found on this web space. “404: Forget me Not” is the working version of the title as 404 pages are usually a place where nothing can be found but this site will lead the user to find unexpected stories about New York businesses that once served neighborhoods for a long time.
For the next week I plan to work on:
- Focusing on creating more sketches with different parameters and manipulations
- Consolidating sketches into one with GUI
- Finished version of content
- Adding section for archive of user outputs and ‘Resolution’
